The Making

Sculpting the Head

Starting with a ball of clay fitted into the armature.Each head is sculpted individually to resemble a likeness based on your close up pictures.

Finished head is baked in the oven to cure.

 

Adding Body Parts

 

The hair is added to the finished head. Finished head is then attached to its body. The body is made of clay fitted into an armature.

Some poses may require complex armatures.

The figure is baked, ready for the next step.

Fitting Dress & Accessories

They are ready to be dressed to match your wedding dress and suit.

We normally use clay to dress them. Some fabrics may be used to archive certain details.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Finishing Touch

Just before the final bake, the make up is applied using acrylic paints. Other type of paints also used to highlight the skin tone and other details on the dress. The final bake is required to let the colours set.

Varnish is applied to preserve the colours.
