After obtaining a degree in Architecture, Michelle pursued her passion in Cake Decorating and Sugarcraft by enrolling to BTEC Course in Baking Science in 2001.

In 2002-2005, she developed her skills in cake decorating and sugar modeling by gaining experiences in many cake shops in and around London. During this period more than 2000 cakes and sugar models she has produced, some of them are commissioned by famous celebrities and high-profiled individuals in the country. Her work on "Royal Wedding Cake" has made appearance in national television.
In November 2006, she won 2 gold awards on Cake 2006 competition in the NEC Birmingham for Novelty cake in a shape of new born baby and "Ready Steady Cook" sugar model.
January 2007, Salon Culinaire at Hospitality Show has awarded her 2 gold medals on "Chinese Dragon" Decorative Exhibit and "Mermaid on a Rock" novelty cake.

In August 2007, Michelle Sugar Art Limited is formed.
In November 2007 at Cake 2007 International event, competing against around 250 competitors during the show, Michelle has been awarded with gold awards in Novelty Cake with "Tortoise Cake" and "Gollum" (character from Lord of The Rings) Sugar figurine category.
Michelle has recently celebrated a double triumph in the International Cullinary Olympics 2008 in Germany by winning gold and silver medals.
Michelle is a member of The British Sugarcraft Guild
